[Dark Dreams] (Just checking) Scene coming forthh)
[Dark Dreams] Joss went to bed happy it seemed. She had got a good hard laugh after Evan screamed across the totem link when he found his hair dyed. But might have kept her awake for a little while, Evan was not one to just let something slide. And she knew this all to well.
But soon enough she would find herself drifting off to the land of sleep. The world that she lived in drifting away as the need for sleep overtook her. Normal dreams taking over, most likely faeries and Unicorns playing in a field somewhere with her, or something else rather cute and disturbing on some levels.
But soon that would be forgotten now, as she could feel the real world tumble back to her, and tumble she did. Someone pulling on her blanket, tossing her out of bed as she slept. A mess tangled in cloth that kept her warm as she hit the floor. Only a voice, stern and powerful coming out of the dark room.
“Who the hell are you? And how dare you sleep in my bed?”
Icy blue eyes seem to pierce her soul as she stand there, over the other side of the bed. A demanding figure that oozed of Get blood, heroes of old that this woman could call her own. Her body covered in simple clothes, ripped apart and worn from what seemed a long quest. Blood and cuts still across her skin.
[Joss Lehrer] She doesn’t dream of unicorns. Well, not in the traditional sense – but since she has communed with such spirits before, it’s not entirely farfetched to think she may dream of them on a regular basis. Her sleep is surprisingly still, though, still and calm and motionless. For one that moves so often, so constantly while awake, it’s most disturbing to see her like this.
Peaceful.
Calm.
But not for long – as she’s tossed out of her bed to fall in a heap of blankets and dreads as she struggles to figure out just what happened. She scrbs her eyes with the heel of her hand, and then peers at the… Fenrir. Claiming her bed. Blink.
Joss kicks free of her blankets and stands, her shoulders straighten. Those who have seen her, and know the way she dresses, can hardly be surprised that she sleeps in a flowing nightgown. No ruffles though – but it is pink.
“I’m Joss. And you are?” She doesn’t answer the second question – because well, it’s her bed, dammit.
[Dark Dreams] “Do not address your betters in such a manner, especially one whose bed you are sleeping in. Damn that Decker, I go off on one little quest and he cuts me from the pack. I am Rune, “Caidanieve,” Adren Godi and this is my bed, my pack.”
Something here should have rang in her head, this woman was not here before when she set up the alarms. The packhouse recognized the pack mates under Eagle’s wing that she knew when she got here. But there were no lights, no alarms, no police car calling for aid. No bees, nothing. What of her spirit wards?
However those icy blue eyes could only seem to stare at the young girl who seemed to have an infatuation with pink. Eyes looking up and down the girl, sniffing her out now. Before turning to move about the room that was not as she had left it.
“Decker found himself a sense of humor it seems… and a Godi who is lacking.”
She shed the ripped shirt now using it to clean off some of the blood before turning around to the girl.
“Your wards are weak and your connection to the spirits of this house… lacking. But you have fed my pets well while I have been gone. You might make a good omega afterall.”
[Joss Lehrer] She arches a brow, even as she’s searching her things, her room, her wards. She frowns, because she is NOT a Godi who lacks, and these things should have worked.
Focus, Joss. Because there’s something else that’s wrong. Fundamentally, primarily, desperately wrong. She knows the Eagle Pack history. She has listened to the songs since her first moot, she had watched them, learned from them and finally joined them. Clearly this person did not…
“Three things.” And she lifts her chin, her eyes flashing, and she counts them off on her fingers. “First. Rune never lived in this packhouse, so this room could not be hers, nor that bed. Second – While you have the name correct, Rune was neither Godi, nor Fenrir. Which brings us to number three – Who are you, and what do you want?”
[Dark Dreams] The woman seemed to just smirk at the fact this little girl seemed to know more than was expected of her. Godi and their mind games are hard to break indeed. But that was no longer the matter. The woman seemed to step back, but as she did the illusion seemed to start falling away, a gentleman in a finely woven black suit seemed to step out of the skin of Rune watching the skin fall to dust before them and then nothingness.
A stern yet respectful voice greets her now as they stand there in the middle of her room. His smile growing over his face as he bows slightly, pushing the bifocals back on his nose when he stand up straight once more.
“Very good, very good indeed. It seems that you are a much better fit than that… that… oh what was his name again.”
He stood there pondering it, one arm going across his stomach as his other hand touches his chin.
[Joss Lehrer] The.
Man.
In.
Black.
She swallows, hard, but does not let her gaze drop, or the fire within them dim. She is Fostern Godi of the Fenrir, and she is not weak. She has been waiting for this visit, for this dream that isn’t a dream – which explains the wards. They do not guard the dream world. She’ll have to figure a way to fix that. Later.
She crosses her arms over her chest, all slight curves under flowing material, and arches a brow. “You still haven’t answered my question.”
She knows of the Theurge he is trying to remember. She won’t give him the satisfaction of giving him a name. “What do you want? Although – I heard you travel most often with a little girl, and take orders from her, because you’ve no life of your own. So what does SHE want?”
Baiting a bad guy. Fenrir 101.
[Dark Dreams] He seemed to not even hear what the little girl before him was saying. His eyes just looking up to the sky trying to recall the name. But now it seemed that he was no longer caring about such things as he just huffed and looked back at Joss as she finished what she said.
“Hmm? Oh yes I am of no importance. My name is irrelevant, just Valet will do if you so wish. As for Master, she is tending her garden. Seems that she needs some more aid.”
He smiled a wicked little grin.
“She has her own agenda and I do not dare ask it of her. This is not television miss, you are not privy to some grand reveal of a dastardly plot so you can play hero and save the world. This is my world My dear.”
He snaps his fingers and it seems that the world about her shutters. At first nothing happens, nothing at all. Until the room starts to move, inanimate wires shooting out to grab her, grapple with her. Pin her best they can.
(Okay give me a WP roll, diff 8. At least 2 sux needed to resist the dream influence)

[Dark Dreams] She had pranked Evan quite well, she went to sleep with a smile on her face. And she had dreamed up this world. Willful enough to direct the way it proceeded. She was the master of her domain within her own mind. She was…. oh who are we kidding. She had no more power over this world then she did of stopping the Wyrm from being crazy. She was at the mercy of Valet now. And with a snap of his fingers she was no longer able to move, no longer able to fight back.
Copper wire from the walls around her seemed to shoot out of the walls and wrap her hand before her within a blind of an eye. Electric wires christmas lights shot down from the ceiling, moving to her feet wrapping about her lifting her inverted from the ceiling.
“Now I have some questions myself. Oh I am sorry, where are my manners. Are you comfortable Miss Joss. Want any water, food? No? Okay, shall we start?”
[Joss Lehrer] “Why does everyone seem to think I have a hero complex?! I really don’t.” She sighs, exasperated, and then…
Then he snaps and there are wires everywhere. She does her best to dodge them, but isn’t as fast. This is, after all, his world. “Well, your world SUCKS.” When she finds herself hanging upside down, she does her best to exert her influence in his world, as with a word she snaps out a command to the wards, the lights, the things in her room that exist in the real side – where presumably she’s sleeping in some shape or form – She does her best to command the spirits that have grown to adore her to wake her the hell up. “WAKE ME.”

[Dark Dreams] In the real world she muttered and murmurs something. But it is not enough, not enough not to wake the spirits to aid her. They still slumber as she does.
But here in this world, she is trapped. Her will is not enough to push out from this world. This is under his control and it most definately would suck.
“Tsk, tsk. Such harsh words. That is not going to do. Not at all.”
Another snap of his fingers and it seemed that from the some unknown spot a bar of soap seemed to fly out. As she opened her mouth again to call out to wake up, the soap shot right in. The taste was horrible, like clorox mixed with comet cleaner. And after she spit it out he smiled again.
“Now please, let us be civil about this. Afterall that is what differs us from animals after all.”
He snickered a little in retrospect and looked at her.
“Shall we start again?”
[Joss Lehrer] Here, in his world, she’s trapped, and she has not pushed hard enough in the real world to get it to work. This does not mean to say she’s done trying. Not by a long shot.
…and then he washes her mouth out with soap. She gags and spits, and spits hard, aiming to mar his pretty black suit. Or in his dark eyes – which would certainly be preferable. She falls still, though, after wriggling around to get her hands situated on her thighs. She’s probably just holding her nightgown in place. With tapping fingers.
She is silent – and watches him.

[Dark Dreams] “Well that is much better. I think you have earned yourself a treat. And I have such a treat for you indeed.”
He turned to the side for a moment, his eyes looking to the open space in her room. Muttering something lower, something dark, something…. wyrm He muttered and chanted lowly, an eerie style. His eyes rolled back and then…
Within the middle of the room a small pinhole of light seems to form, like that of a lune’s glow. But as the chanting continued, as it strengthened so did the hole. It grew, strengthening, growing. Within moments it was large enough for Joss to see through, to see some sort of field within, partially dead was the grass, but there was a point that had grown strong, green and flowered.
“And without further ado.”
He knelt before the light of the hole in space.
“Master”
(Gnosis roll)

[Dark Dreams] And from that hole in space steps….
A woman, not some girl. A woman that Joss knows all to well. She would feel it in her heart, within her mind. She could sense it and it felt true. The figure before her was not some little girl, some strange spirit that was under the sway of the Wyrm. No this was not what she expected. This was…..
Joss’ Mother.
“Hello darling.”
A warm smile crosses her lips as she looks down on the tied Joss.
“Did you get my package okay?”
[Joss Lehrer] She watches, silent. She doesn’t move – but for the taping of those fingers against her thighs. She doesn’t twit or struggle, or bemoan the fact that her dreads are hanging heavily and brushing the floor.
…and then she stares (but keeps tapping, build, perform, be ready always be ready, Dad taught her well) as what seems to be her mother steps forth. It looks like her, feels like her, even smells like her. Joss’s eyes widen, and she looks beyond the woman to the hole.
[focus Joss, you know how he works, you’ve heard the stories, you know the dreams FOCUS…]
“…yes ma’am…” she answers, quietly, but then focuses everything she has into summoming help from the elementals, the jagglings she’s spent so much time cultivating relationships with here in the city…
She is Godi.
She is Fostern.
She has a duty to discover how to defeat the man in the suit, no matter who the master may be.
(summoning – as many as she can to come to her aid…

[Dark Dreams] Joss’ mother steps forth as it seems that she is all smiles when she sees her child. Until she notices the position her child was in. She turns to the Valet and give him a stern look, almost sneering.
“You will put my daughter down now, immediately. Or else.”
And with that command, the Valet snaps his fingers again. With that the christmas lights seem to uncoil, dropping her to the floor. But as they recoil, they seem to start flashing, dancing a little in a playful pattern.
The man give a little quizzical look before the copper wire moves fromJoss’ hands again. And when that is done, her mother moves to her side, offering her a hand to stand up.
“My it seems Randi feeds you well. I am happy to see you are eating well.”
Motherly translation, is either your getting fat or your becoming more… “womanly” either not much of a real compliment from your parent.
“Now tell me, are the Eagle’s really everything you thought they would be. Have you been behaving?”
She moves one of the dreads from before the young Fernir face, smiling into those eyes.
[Joss Lehrer] They come. They always come. Evan laughs at her because she plays tag with them, Imogen thinks she is insane for the same reason. Who knows what Decker thinks – as he’s taken to telling her to ‘go play with her friends’. But there are methods to the madness of a Godi. She plays with them, creates relationships with them, so that when she calls…
They come.
They come EAGERLY.
Her brows furrow slightly, as ‘mother’ calls her fat, but she does not flinch from those fingers gently pulling a dreadlock from her face and smoothing it back. Part of her doesnt’ just want to believe – part of her does believe. Even so, she manages a soft “I’m fine.”
Moments before she turns and focuses her gaze on the man in black, gathers herself before it’s too late, and calls a command to the dancing electrical elementals. “GETHIM!”
(Come on, COME ON KAHSEENO! Show me some SPARK!

[Dark Dreams] Joss’ mother seems to be focused on her when she calls out ‘get him.” But in a moment it seems that the wires start to move at the man in black, but Mother turns around and….
The wires seem to recoil from the man in black. Flickering in what seems to be pain, the lights not dancing and dimming as the fall back. As for the man in black, he just stares at the wires, holding out his hand to the wires before him. And in a moment the electrical spirits jump from the wires, bulbs seem to be popping as they move from the wire, trying to escape the pain. The man just stared at them, eyes black now, no longer any sign of humanity in them. And what electrical elements that take on a persona, hold there head. Crying out in pain.
As for Mother she seemed to have frozen them for the moment before they attacked. But now her glare was on Joss. Looking hard at her.
“You are being a very bad girl, you will have to be punished.”
The hand that moved away her dreads seemed to grab at her chin, holding it in place.

[Dark Dreams] Joss can feel it pulled from her, her very will sucked from her system. Just as Charlie had it done to him. Her body felt pain yet no wounds were apparent. Just the lack of will. It had drained her horribly.
And it seemed that mother was more fulfilled. But she was no longer mother at all. The little girl stood before her now, no longer holding a teddy or blanket. But she could not hold the illusion any longer.
“You are more powerful then Wayha informed us of. Impressive. Either he was strong enough to hold back from breaking or… you are undervalued in this city.”
[Joss Lehrer] At the mention of Wahya, she growls, deep and low in her throat. All pretense has been dropped from the Master. She smirks slowly, and it does not reach her eyes – there is no mirth there, no amusement. “Wahya is strong. As are the rest of us. You won’t get away with this…”
…because she knows exactly what ‘this’ is, right? And with that, without any will to hold back, she shifts and lunges for the Master.

[Dark Dreams] Joss seems to move to attack Master now. Valet seems to try and slow down the attacking form of Joss, but his control over the dream state seems to have faultered a little bit as his force blast to Joss mind does not seem to slow her down. But he does hold some sway as Joss cannot get herself to her war form. But she does try and get in an attack.
A headbutt. On a little girl. That is standing right in front of her. That she misses. Maybe it was the dizziness of losing the will to fight, to live. But she cannot connect and that leaves Master’ open to her now. A glare pierces Joss for the moment and that is all she needs.
Joss can feel her muscles tighten up. Her body tense to the point she cannot move. Like fear yet not. Her body cannot react to her will. She is trapped within this little world, at the mercy of the pair. And Master will take advantage of this.
“Awww can’t move can ya? Well as much fun as this is. I have more important business to attend to. But I will see you soon, yes? Oh we will see a lot of each other. I promise you.”
She leans over and kisses Joss’ forehead and smiled before turning and skipping back to Valet all smiles.
“Come now, my garden will need much tending now.”
And Valet bows before heading back to hole in space, letting master move in first before following. And as the light from the portal fades he snaps just before disappearing.
—————————————————————————–
And as Joss wakes from her dream violently she can feel it. The itchy feeling on her forehead where Master kissed her. A burning itch she needed to scratch. Her room whoever seemed to have not moved at all, nothing was out of place. Nothing but the lights.
They seemed to have fallen from their place, the lights trying to flash in warning, but dim weak. The spirits within hurting from whatever Valet had done to them.
Chalk another meeting up to Master
[Dark Dreams] (Scene now ended. However she will suffer from this little encounter. During times of stress she will start to have a burning itch on her forehead and after a moment she will start to see Master in her line of sight, somewhere in her vision. It will be a delusion and when she learns it is a delusion she can roll WP diff 8 to fight against it. But these delusions will last for 3 weeks, or until Master is killed. IE- Delusional Flaw)
