[I’m a dumbass, and due to fucked up IRL shit, i forgot her flaw. Therefor, with permission of the other player, everything Kiana said in this scene was written. she’s fuckin mute.]
Mila
The night was young – and it was Thursday.. thus, the bars were busier than they’d normally be during the week because people were already starting to pretend it was the weekend (or perhaps just wish it were..). Almost all of the seats were taken – there was a band playing off in the corner. They weren’t bad – but they weren’t the cream of the crop (this was Thursday afterall).
And.. just like last time, a dark haired young woman seemed to have cleared out a small section of the bar. Two bar stools to the left, two to the right and the attractive young lady sitting smack dab in the middle. Her hair was left down in a slightly mussed curly look. She wore a simple tank top with a few rhinestones on it – in a dark plum color, and a pair of jeans.
It seemed if anyone wanted to sit.. they’d need to brave the Lord.
Blaze
A big, muscular man steps inside the club flanked by two other almost as big men and four sexy, pretty young women. He was dressed in dark pants and dark red shirt, silver chain around his neck, rings on his fingers, big watch on his left wrist.
His eyes scans the crowd and notices the dark haired woman sitting alone once more. He frowns and head to a table with the men and women They sit and a waitress comes to the table, takes the order and then leaves.
The girls are talking to all the men, leaning and rubbing against them. Blaze replies but his eyes goes to Mila once in a while.
Mila
At some point, Mila turns and sets her attention on the rest of the bar. Both arms rested out beside her on the bar. It rather looked like she was surveying her kingdom from a top a throne. She had a little smirk upon her darkly hued lips and every now and then she’d take a little sip of her drink.
She spotted John not long after she’d turned around. He was hard to miss – he simply held a bit of a presence about him which made him stand out (at least to this Lord.) She’d wait until she caught his eye, and then she’d smirk a bit more, lifting her glass in greeting.
Blaze
He speaks with his entourage for some moments, their drinks being brought to them. He pick his glass, noting Mila watching him. He raises his glass back and drinks from it.
Eventually he gets up and moves to the bar, leaning against it “Hello Mila”
Mila
“Hello John.” A beat. “Looks like you brought quite the crew tonight.” She smiled. “Can I buy you a drink?”
Blaze
He shrugs “Not more or less than usual. Sometimes I do go out alone… but not often” He drinks from his bottle and then nod to her “Sure if you want. How do you like the city so far?”
He asks, his attention on her for the most part, still watching his surroundings
Mila
“Do you really? I wasn’t sure.” She teased slightly. The bartender was motioned over and she asked him to get dear John whatever it was he wanted.
“The city is alright. Too many hills and buildings. Don’t you people like grass here?”
A sip. “I wasn’t sure I’d see you again after the little incident of last time. Hope that didn’t go over too poorly for you..”
Kiana Knowles
She doesn’t much stand out – not like Blaze, not like even Mila might. No, she’s well used to hanging about the fringes, moving in the shadows of other people, keep to the corners and back walls and watch.
Just watch.
This time, she’s also nursing a black eye, which would be why she has the hood to her sweatshirt pulled up, hiding most of her face as she moves toward the bar and a beer. She weaves her way through the crowd without really touching anyone. Her hands are in the ‘roo pocket of her sweatshirt, and she shifts her body with a liquid ease that keeps her from really even coming close to anyone she passes.
Which, of course, attracts attention, before she even rests her elbows on the bar and asks for a beer.
Blaze
He shrugs “Well you know, one has to keep good company”
He grins at her comment about grass “Only if they can smoke it”
He drinks some more from his beer and frown when she mention the other night “Two guys are dead because of it, but nothing I can’t handle”
He eyes the new girl coming into Mila’s bubble, raising a brow at her
Mila
“Your guys?” A brow rose – she almost looked concerned. Almost.
Yes, the only space at the bar was within Mila’s bubble. Well, it was larger than her personal bubble.. bit it was the edge of space where regular folk felt comfortable enough to be. Green eyes flicked in her direction only for a moment before she glanced back up at John.
Kiana Knowles
Two guys are dead.. that gets an arched brow, hidden in the shadows of her hoodie, as she drums her fingers against the bartop before her, waiting for the beer. She hadn’t intended on getting into anyone’s bubble, but well, that’s what tends to happen with her.
She glances at Blaze as he arches a brow at her, and the corner of her lips lift into a slight smirk.
Blaze
He shook his head “No. Not mine but it wasn’t something that initially needed. Next time I’d like it if you let me handle things my way. There are rules here and I don’t think they are the same that you’re used to. So I’ll handle things related to my world and you can handle anything related to yours if they come around or something”
He finishes his beer and pick the drink Mila bought him. His eyes stares at the hooded woman, noticing her smirk, wondering what the young woman wanted
Mila
The woman was still in her space.. she glanced her direction again before she leaned in to quietly whisper to Blaze. Her breath was warm on his ear and a hand rested in his shoulder. “Don’t presume to tell me what to do, John. He threatened me – thus, it was suddenly my business. I will not back down simply to appease you.”
She backed off, releasing his shoulder. She then turned her attention back to the woman. “Hello.. “She offered. Mila had that sort of eerie predatory feeling oozing off of her. No wonder most people wanted to be as far as way as possible.
Kiana Knowles
Kiana is not without an aura of her own – though it is more in the way she stands, the way she moves, the way she exists rather than anything supernatural. She doesn’t have Rage, for instance, nor does she have breeding. Maybe she’s just braver than most. Maybe she has a death wish. Maybe she likes the adrinilen rush gained by being so close to danger…
Or maybe it doesn’t affect her, because she knows exactly what it is.
Mila says hello, and Kiana lifts her chin slightly, wrapping her fingers around the neck of the beer bottle after it’s delivered, and lifting it to her lips for a drink. “Hey.”
Blaze
He look back at her, unflinching, his gaze hard “I’m telling you how things are here, around me. There is a way for thing to be handled..and well you also attracted attention to yourself. And knowing who you are, that’s not a wise thing.
I don’t want to argue with you, but if you’re going to talk to me or be around, then you have to follow my lead on this. If you’re not ok with that, I have people to get back to”
Mila
Mila smiled at the young womans greeting.. and yet again shifted her attention to the large man beside her. Did he really have any clue what he was up against? She followed no Kin just because he thought he was big and bad. There was a away to approach this situation, and he’d decided to go about it the wrong way. She’d hoped he was a promising kin – one she wanted to have on her side. Now, she simply questioned his wisdom and her inital desire to get to know him better.
Irratation flashed across her gaze. “Sure baby, whatever you like..” There was a smile with that – but it’s emotion didn’t make it to her eyes. She’d pretend to roll over.. if only to bide her time before she tore his throat out.
She give him a moment more of her attention if he wanted to say anything further on the matter before she again switched her attention to the woman. “I’m Mila.. and you?”
Kiana Knowles
They seem to be having some sort of civil argument, and Kiana ignores it, other than to glance around to make herself sure of her surroundings. She takes another drink of her beer, which causes her hoodie to fall back enough to show that gorgeous shiner – and then flicks a glance toward Mila when she introduces herself…
“Kiana.”
She taps her finger against the side of her bottle to the beat of the music in the background, almost absently.
Blaze
He studies Mila for a moment. He shrugs and drinks from his glass. He doesn’t add anything. Mila’s attention turns to the other woman and he straighten up. He watches her for a moment then downs the drink completely
“Thank you for the drink Mila, have a good evening. I’ll see you around” He nods to Kiana and move away.
Garou, who the hell needs them anyway? He has met three of them in his live..in 37 years, and two of them about two weeks ago. So far he liked only one out of three. The first one…and like was a strong word. He had lived most of his life not seeing one, not knowing much about them and he was still alive.
What could they bring him, really?
He heads back to the table with the four women and two guys
Mila
“Take care, John. Maybe we’ll see each other again.” Maybe. Next time the other thugs came to collect on him she’d be sure to mind her P’s and Q’s and just get another drink and watch. Kin or no.. he didn’t have the breeding which would make her more apt to feel guilty about it either.
“Mm.. nice to meet you Kiana. Enjoying your evening so far?”
Kiana Knowles
She watches as blaze heads off, and arches a brow, slightly. She doesn’t hide that she watches either, even if it’s to mentally size up each member of his posse and decide she could probably take them in a good old fashioned brawl, if she wanted too.
Just for fun, of course.
Mila continues to talk to her, and she lifts a shoulder in a shrug. “I suppose. You?”
Mila
“Alright. Cave man over there apparently doesn’t like women who can stand up for themselves.” She smirked and sipped her drink. She indicated the retreating Blaze with a flick of her gaze. “No matter though. Not gonna ruin my night..”
Kiana Knowles
She snorts, slightly. “They rarely do.” Like women who can stand up, that is… She would know. She’s been fighting both sexes for as long as she can remember – and winning. It hasn’t gotten her any dates, that’s for sure.
Though she must say, Cave Man is sporting a very nice body… He could probably knock her out. And she might let him.
But that’s just her after fight beer and adrenalin talking.
Blaze
He sits with his group for a moment, talking for some time, not really enjoying the moment. Those Garou could ruin a night like no other things. After another drink, he gets up, whisper to Nadia and Tanya and they move with him.
He heads out, leaving the two men with the other two women. He needs a distraction tonight.
Mila
“I gotta get heading out. Nice meeting you.. maybe we’ll catch each other here again.” She smiled, set her drink and a twenty on the bar and pushed off of her stool.
{It’s bedtime! Though if you want to play again, feel free to AIM me: keiraflyn}
