Izzy | Gunplay [Carter/Adara/Neda]

[Carter Roth] Carter looks down at Neda with that grin and shrugs. “Nah I’ve had much worse.” He said before looking over at Adara to answer her question. “Nah the other guy looks better, cause the other guy is this girl.” He said gesturing to Neda with a chuckle.

He leads them on through to the range, where they see one other person firing off a pistol, it is a quiet range in comparison to some, maybe its why he chose it, not to overwhelming off the bat. But they do not stop at the range they walk on past, to a door which Carter pushes open. Inside seems to a supply room, but the only portion of the room that seems to matter is a table upon which sat two different guns.

One was a Beretta, the common law enforcement side arm, laid there gleaming and pristine, and next to it was a smaller sleeker model, a Walther PPK. “Alright ladies, take a few moments and decide which of you gets which gun.” He says as he closes the door behind them. “Both of these should work for either of you.”

[Adara Mires] She raised a brow when he mentioned that he healed Neda. Her emerald gaze look at the woman “What happened to you Neda?”She ask with concern “You should have called me. I know Carter is closer to you than I am, but if you’re in trouble, I’ll come and help you you know.”

She tilt her head at Carter “And you, if I can concvince you to it, I’ll have my friend Kristen, the one you scare away to heal you. It was very nice of you to help Neda, but you deserve some for yourself as well, ok? Please?”

She say in a soft, polite tone. “And you won’t own her anything. She’ll do it because she’s sweet and for me.”She paused “I’ll take the beretta unless Neda really want it”

[Neda Stevic] “I wasn’t in trouble.” She scowls slightly as Adara continues talking, then waves her hand. “That’s fine. Take it”

[Carter Roth] He to looked at Adara with a raised brow as she offers her aid, something she always did quite quickly, but he shook his head anyways. “I ain’t taking that sort of help from a garou.” He said with finality. “It just isn’t happening, so leave it be.” He looked over at Neda as she scowled but allowed that to go.

“Good that was probably the best way to divide them anyways, the Walther is probably better suited to you anyways Neda.” He says as he leans against the door, not letting them out to the range yet.

“Now….I’m sure both of you want to go have some fun with those, I hate to disappoint, but that isn’t what were here for tonight. Tonight, your going to be learning these weapons inside and out, if you know the weapon inside and out, you better understand what it can do, and what it can do for you.” He said as he gestured to two chairs around the table.

“Take a seat…both of you.”

[Adara Mires] She look at Neda “So what happened if you weren’t in trouble? And don’t feed me a I trip story please.”

She nodded at Carter’s words “All right, but you should think about it. If you change your mind, you know how to reach me”She move to sit “So we’re going to take it apart, clean it and put it back on again until we can do it pretty fast?’She say lookin up at Carter “That’ll be fun”She say smiling.

[Neda Stevic] “I was attacked. It’s being handled by my tribe.”

It seems to be all that she’s willing to say on the matter, and she moves to take a seat as instructed.

[Carter Roth] Carter steps towards the table then and took up the beretta and he nodded to Adara’s words. “You got it, I will show both of you how to disassemble each gun and then reassemble each gun, once that’s done, you will both work at it…until you can do it as well.” He smirked then. “I expect us to be here a while.”

He knew where this conversation was heading however and he frowned. “Whats say we drop it? Your both here to learn, if thats not your reason for being here… the door is right behind me.”

“Now…this is how you take apart a beretta.” He says and he quickly and smoothly disassembles the Beretta before their eyes, it takes him maybe forty seconds to do so, before the weapons is in pieces laid out before him.

[Adara Mires] She nodded to Neda’s words “All right, as long as it’s being handle” It was tribe’s business, the owman didn’t want her to know, it was settle. She grinned at Carer
“Conversation is over”

She watched him intently when he toook the gun apart, looking serious. His eyes never left his hands and hte gun. When he was over, she smiled “All right, simple enough”

[Neda Stevic] Neda pays close attention to the gun as the magazine is released and removed, the disassembly latch is slid into place, and the pistol frame is slid off and followed by the recoil spring and rod. As the lock button is depressed and the barrel is slid off, it looks as if she’s taking thorough mental notes.

[Carter Roth] Carter lays it out neatly, pointing to and explaining the function of each part of the weapon, and every single time he finishes explaining a piece he finishes “You need this piece, if its missing, the gun doesn’t work.” When at last he finishes he looks between the two of them and grins. “I hope…that you understand at this moment that if you finish re assembling and there is something left out…you fail.” A light chuckle. “And no cookie.”

At that point he takes a few quick seconds to slide and lock the weapon back together he doesn’t even really watch what hes doing, he simply explains it, primarily to Adara, as this would be her weapon to use. “Alright…now that its all together, its your turn, take it apart, and then, put it back together.”

When that was done, Carter picked up the Walther and looked keenly at Neda. “You ready to see how your’s comes apart? Or would you rather watch Adara for a while?” It was a jibbing tease, something to get her goat, without making her angry, he did so enjoy teasing her.

[Neda Stevic] “Don’t make me point it at you.” She smiles, clearly teasing. “How different is it from the other?”

[Adara Mires] She was listening to Carter, taking in everything he was saying and doing. “So if I succeed, do I really get a cookie?”She say with a playful grin and wink. Not that she could eat cookies but still it was a funny thought. Carter handing cookies

She took the gun and slowly even though she was confident that she could do it quicker, she took the gun apart, deft fingers working easilly on the weapon. Once it was taken apart, she put it back together slowly as well, letting her fingers learn what her mind already knew. “Did I pass?” She ask Carter with a smile

“And before practicing on mine, I want to look at the PPK”

[Carter Roth] Carter held up the PPK in the light and turned it over, beside being more compact, it was sleeker, and obviously used a smaller round. “The basics of each hand gun are largely interchangeable however the PPK is a little more sophisticated due to the age of its design.” He says as he starts to strip it down, there seem to be a few more pieces in the weapon then that of the Beretta. “However, the extra complexity is offset by the weapons small size making it far more ideal when you want to conceal what your carrying.”

“On the downside, stopping capacity is nearly non existent, so it isn’t really the sort of weapon you want to be using against the furry kind.” He looks at Neda before looking over to Adara. “To be honest, neither is the Beretta but the caliber of the bullets make it a bit more versatile for use against larger targets.”

And a few moments later, the weapon is in pieces before them. And Carter once again, sets out to explain each piece in turn.

[Neda Stevic] She examines each piece of the PPK, as she will with the Beretta when it’s her turn with it. Each is committed to memory, and she nods once satisfied.

[Adara Mires] She grinned at his comment about the PPK not going to stop people like her “Well if you can shoot one in the eye, I swear it will slow them down for a moment. It sucks getting shot there.”She say with a tilt of her head.

She listeed to the explanations and once it was over and Neda was working on her gun, she took the beretta and dissambled it in a very good time, putting it back together quickly then repeated the process a few times.

[Neda Stevic] Neda is slower, but more methodical. So much attention is paid to the disassembling and reassembling of the gun, that she’s no doubt memorized the movement and feel of each step.

[Carter Roth] Carter looked between each as they settled into starting to take apart and reassemble their chosen weapons. “Alright, I’m going to go get your ammo, you both have twenty minutes to assemble and strip these guns. If you don’t have it done at least ten times each, you don’t get to go out and shoot today.” He said with a grin as he stepped towards the door.

“Keep track of each other, no cheating, I’ll be back shortly.”

[Izzy Montoya] Everyone has an activity that helps them relax, helps them take the edge off, makes the days a little easier to bear. Those that know Detective Montoya would not be surprised that one of her chosen activities involves firearms. The other? Well, now, that would be telling. Anyway, on any particularly gruesome day, Izzy can be found at a gun range. This time it’s the range in Bronzeville, where the clerk knows her, and doesn’t ask questions. [He does, however, occasionally rub one out at the thought of how she handles her gun – that too, is another story.]

The door opens, and she buys her rounds at the greasy little counter manned by the greasy not so little clerk, all without saying a word. He knows what she needs, and slides it across the counter without hesitation. She pays for it, gathers it up and turns toward the range itself, to pick a lane.

[Neda Stevic] “I fail to see how one would cheat at something like this.” Magazine out. Chamber checked. Trigger guard pulled down. Slide pulled back and removed.

[Adara Mires] She chuckled at Carter’s words “Sir, yes Sir” She grinned playfully, teasing him. Deftly and surely, she took the gun apart and back up, taking a little under a minute each time she take it apart and each time she assemble it back. She doesn’t really check if Neda is doing her ten reps or not. She did hers and it’s enough fo her.

Her eyes watched the pretty woman passing by them and offered her a smile. She could smell the breeding on her and her head tilted slightly, her smile widening “Well good evening” She say to Izzy in a friendly tone

[Adara Mires] (hmm scratch the greeting to Izzy…seem liek we’re in a separate room…sorry)

[Neda Stevic] “He’s not going to sleep with you, or anyone you keep trying to set him up with. He’s spoken for.” Her voice is quiet and casual, but there’s a sinister undertone that weaves through her words.

Slide. Trigger guard. Magazine. Magazine. Trigger guard. Slide. She falls into an easy rhythm with the movements, finding them soothing.

[Carter Roth] Carter steps away from the women, shaking his head as he did. “You don’t think like the military Neda, if you did, you’d find a way.” He said with a chuckle as he stepped out of the room and headed through the range towards the counter. As he does, he of course encounters Izzy on her way to the lanes. His eyes flicker up, and then down and as they past he nodded to the woman.

“Officer.” Is all he says as he makes his way past her.

[Adara Mires] She blinked at Neda “What? What the hell are you taking about?”She say looking at her “I have absolutly no intention to lseep with him, I never tried to set him up, that’d be plain stupid and I know you two are together. Why the fuck would I do that?’

[Neda Stevic] “Just keep it in mind.” She slaps the magazine into the assembled gun for the last time, and gives Adara an unnerving smile as the sound echoes in the room.

[Adara Mires] She look at Neda “All right, fine. Itf it makes you feel better to threaten me for something that is in your mind..go ahead. But I told you before. If I were ot sleep with someone, it’d be you not him.” She smile “And before you tell me in my dreams or fuck off or whatever…I know already it’s ont gonig to happen. So save it”

She finish her work and leave the gun on th table, no need for theatrics on her part.

[Izzy Montoya] “Detective.” The correction is automatic, and it’s easy to assume she makes it often enough. She doesn’t stop to wonder why he assumed she was a cop. She thinks like one, walks like one, talks like one – which is to say often like a sailor on shore leave – is one. Despite her uniform consisting of ‘business casual’ rather than dress blues, and the fact her badge is in her coat pocket, it’s an easy assumption to make.

And, obviously, a correct one.

Other than that, she does not greet him further. She continues her way toward the lanes, where she sets the ammo on the table, and unfastens her leather jacket. When she pulls it off and drapes it over a chair, the butt of her weapon is viewable where it resides at the small of her back. Likely, it’s not her own weapon, but it is her favorite.

Coat taken care of, she goes about setting up one of the paper targets, and sending it into the depths of the lane.

[Neda Stevic] Her head tilts very slowly, and she stares at Adara unblinking and not speaking for several seconds.

[Adara Mires] She peopped her elbow on the table and place her chin on her open hand “You have pretty eyes you know that?” She say, looking into Neda’s staring eyes with a playful smile

[Carter Roth] Carter chuckles deeply when hes corrected and steps onward, not stopping either. When he gets back to the counter, and the poor veteran who had gone to seed he purchased a box of each ammo type and took it without another word. He stepped casually back towards the room, slowing to watch the detective for a moment, curious one might say.

[Neda Stevic] “Yes. It’s true.” She nods once, then reaches for the Baretta

[Izzy Montoya] He slows, curious, and she notes it without seeming to note it at all. She’s used to being watched while at the range, for many reasons. She doesn’t seem to mind being so again, or it’s something that’s beneath her notice at all. At any rate, once the target is placed, she reaches behind her with the smooth motion of someone eerily confident and graceful, having made the move countless times before. Slender fingers wrap around the butt of her gun, and she pulls it free. She checks the load, slams the clip home, takes a breath and….

BAMBAMBAM.

Fires.

[just for fun dex+firearms, 3rb]
Dice Rolled:[ 8 d10 ] 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 9, 10, 10 (Success x 6 at target 6) Re-rolls: 2

[Izzy Montoya] (and rolled the wrong dice for 3rb, but well. +3 more would just be showing off. *L*)

[Adara Mires] She chuckled at Neda’s words and gently pushed the Beretta in her direction “Mind if I work on the PPK?” She ask politly “And Neda, you don’t have to worry about me doing anything. I do like you and I’ve no intention of pissing you off or do anytihng to hurt you. All right?”

She say, looking into the kin’s eyes

[Neda Stevic] “That’s fine.” It’s hard to tell which part she’s responding too, and hands the PPK to Adara grip first.

Once she has hold of the Beretta, she looks it over before stripping it down.

[Carter Roth] Ahhh the three round burst, something usually reserved for the military and not for civilian police forces. Her chosen style brings a chuckle to Carters lips as he watches her for another second before he shakes his head in amusement, however he doesn’t bother to try and talk to her, she had her ear protection on, and it was pointless when she was firing.

Instead he stepped onward towards the door to the storage room, or as he liked to think of it. ‘the prep room.’ As the door swung open he looked suspiciously at the two women and grinned. “Alright, I’m guessing both of you managed to hit ten times?” He asks as he set the two boxes of ammo down on the table before them.

He does take note at how they have switched weapons and he raised a brow. “Being fancy are ya? Well, next time ill have a special lesson for both of you.” He grins and its not the sort of grin you want, they can tell…over achieving isn’t going to win them points.

[Neda Stevic] “You were gone a long time”

[Adara Mires] She nodded “All right”She doesn’t push the conversation further, working on the PPK now, taking it apart and back again, slowly the first time as she did with the beretta. She kept her attention on what she was doing. If Nedawanted to talk, well she let her know.

She look up at Carter with a smile “Special lesson huh? ooohh sounds liek fun”She wiggled her brows and handed the reassembled PPK grip first to Neda “There you go”

“And Carter, we’re not being fancy, we’re just that damn good”She say with a grin.

[Izzy Montoya] Three round burst – also known as Kill the Stupid Snarling Monster Before It Gets Close Enough To Gut You. She never served in the military, herself, but she has faced down far more than her share of idiots – both human and non. Her motto has always been shoot first and fuck the questions.

Another breath, and she fires again. She notes that he’s moved on, and the corner of her lips curve into something of a smirk, before she settles into her rhythm once more. Breath, hold it, exhale, fire.

[Carter Roth] Carter raised a brow to Neda and shrugged. “I took the scenic route.” He said with a slight grin before he looked between the women. “Alright you both know by now how to operate your chosen weapon, so take these, load your magazines, and then go pick a lane. It’s practice time.” He says as he reaches into his pocket and pulls out a Walther p99 and goes to check the load on it.

“Come on ladies, time to shoot some paper.”

[Neda Stevic] After trading back with Adara, she goes about loading the magazine slowly. Each bullet is clicked into place, and she slowly gets a look of pure joy.

[Adara Mires] She took the bullets and filled the magazine then slid it in the gun. She made sure the safety was on then got up. “All right, let’s go this”She say with a smile. She watched Neda’s expression then looked at Carter “Someone is having way too much fun”

She was grinning crookedly

[Izzy Montoya] She is aware of her surroundings, despite her focus, her drive, her steady aim and firing. She knows when the others come toward the lanes, she knows the man from before is no longer alone.

She also knows that if that piece of paper down there were a real threat, it’d be dead. Killed cleanly, with shot after shot.

[Carter Roth] The door opens once more and Carter steps back out onto the range with Adara and Neda in tow and he nods to Adara. “Just a bit, reminds me of one of my friends from the service, always had a little to much fun loading his weapon.” He says with a chuckle as he looked around and gestured to various lanes.

“Take your pick ladies.” He says as he walks forward and choses the lane next to Izzy, setting his weapon down on the table before him as he goes to put on his headphones another nod in the detective’s direction.

[Neda Stevic] She settles herself next to Carter, watching and waiting.

[Adara Mires] She chuckled at Carter’s words. “Well there’s on shame about loving what you do” She smiled softly. She tilted her head at the unknown woman. If her earphjones were off she nodded and say “Good evening”

If htere weren’t, she head for hte next free lane, probably beside Neda and wait to see if Carter had other instructions before putting her earphones on.

[Carter Roth] Carter looked down at his two pupils and picked up his weapon gesturing down range. “First off, never point the damn thing at anything you don’t intend to kill, second always fire with a two handed grip, third lean into the shot, and finally….squeeze the trigger, don’t pull it.” He says as he does exactly what hed just said and squeezed off a round down range.

“Fire at will ladies.”

[Izzy Montoya] She sees Carter’s nod out of the corner of her eye, and pulls her headphones off. She listens to the instructions given, and smirks slightly. She studies Adara a moment before nodding a return greeting, then she turns her attention toward the targets and those closest to her.

Then, she lifts her weapon again, and empties the clip methodically. Poor Paper Target. He never had a chance.

[Carter Roth] [Guys i gotta step away for a bit here, please keep going without me, i will be back soon]

[Adara Mires] She lsitened to his words and nodded. “All right” She smiled when Izzy nodded back to her then stepped into her lane. She loved to that with the unknown kin but ofr now, she was training. She steadied herself, legs slightly apart, once she had the earphones on, then held the gun in a two hand grip. She aimed and squeezed the trigger once, then another time, then another, at a regular, fairly slow place. She wanted to hit the target as many times as possible.

Once she was done, she pulled the earphones aroun her neck and pressed the button to bring the paper target to her

[Neda Stevic] “Detective Montoya.” It’s a greeting, but she’s not looking at her when she says it. Her earphones go on, and she studies the target quietly before aiming for her first shot.

[Izzy Montoya] She doesn’t stop until her clip is empty, and then she pulls her ear protection back off, and sets it on the table as she reloads. She remembers Neda – indeed, she rarely forgets any face, it’s part of why she is so good at her job – though she does not greet her by name. Instead, she goes about reloading her clip, and sliding it home, before she pushes the button to retrieve her target.

[Adara Mires] She look at the target. She had hit it most of the time, ranging from head and heart shots to arms and lower gut. It wasn’t sharpshooting at all, but it wasn’t too bad either. “Well…that isn’t the worst I’ve seen”She say with a soft smile.

She stepped out of her lane for a moment, wondering how many clips Carter wanted them to unload. He was still busy shooting so her eyes stopped on Izzy again “How are you doing tonight miss?”She ask with a smile.

[Neda Stevic] The Lord kin moves slowly and methodically again, lining up each shot carefully before squeezing the trigger, and coming more or less close to hitting the target half the time.

[Izzy Montoya] She looks up as Adara speaks to her, dark eyes taking in the dark haired woman. Strike that – there’s a tingle of rage that twists about her spine when when the Fury’s attention is trained on her.

She meets Adara’s gaze head on- no flinching, no lower her gaze, no give whatsoever. “Fine.”

She replaces her shredded target with a new one, and sends it back out again.

[Adara Mires] She nodded to the woman, not looking offended by her direct gaze, her smile jsut widening slighlty, still looknig warm and friendly

“Good, I”m Adara by the way. May I know your name?” She didn’t seem to mind the hostility coming from Izzy. “And I hve a feeling you generally don’t like people like me. Like someone else I know. Thing is, I’m not like most. Not gonig to force you to like me. But..maybe you could give me a chance”

She shrugh slightly

[Izzy Montoya] She arches a brow slightly. “Three assumptions in one little speech. Gotta be a record there.”

She picks up her weapon again. She doesn’t bother with hearing protection this time. “What makes you think your kind is something special? Perhaps I hate everyone.” It’s a possibility, anyway. She fires three times, rapidly, and only then gives her name. “Detective Montoya.”

[Adara Mires] She chuckled at the woman’s words “All right, I assumed..but you haven’t said I was wrong though. No matter. I apologize for assumnig I know anything about you. I didn’t meant to offend you.”

She nodded to her “And I”m pleased to meet you Detective. Are you native to Chicago or moved here?”She ask once the shots had been fired.

[Izzy Montoya] “I also haven’t said you are correct.” In fact, she hasn’t said anything to lean one way or the other, really. Of course, one can likely assume correctly enough to suit their needs. She doesn’t care either way. “…or that I was offended.”

As for her past, she lifts a shoulder into a shrug as she takes aim. “Both. Spent a decade in Miami.”

[Adara Mires] She nodded “Miami? That is one city that will keep cops busy for decades to come. I’ll let oyu practice for now. I odn’t want to bother you. Think it would be possible to catch you for a beer later tonight or another time?”

She say with a smile “You know, if onthing else than having company while drinking. But I’d like to get to know you a little. Maybe talk about MIami, the city, or whatever you’d like”

[Izzy Montoya] She doesn’t miss a beat, any more than she misses a shot. She’s not practicing, really – just relaxing. Or something.

“Asking for a date already? Must be Fury.” Stereotypes, ahoy.

[Adara Mires] “It’s your turn to assume now?” She ask with an amused smile “Two assumptions in what? 8 words?” She grin softly

“Never had a drink with another person just to have drink with someone?”

[Izzy Montoya] She smirks. “Turn about is fair play.” Or something like it.

“Usually drink to get drunk.” Or to forget. Or to remember. Or to ease stress. Or to fuck the guy two tables over so she doesn’t have to think. Whatever. “Company optional.”

More or less.

[Adara Mires] She nodded “That we could do. Anyway I’m offering. If you say yes, we’ll get drunk and probably have a nice evening at whicever bar we’ll be at. If you say no, well it’s fine too.” She smiles

“Well, I’ll get back to shooting, let me know about your decision later. If we don’t talk again, have a good night detective”

She slowly move toward Carter “So how’s that for my first lesson?”She say, holding up her target sheet to him

[Carter Roth] Carter had disappeared off to speak to the chubby attendant, speaking about war stories or what not as the women continued to practice, and at long last he comes sidling back into the range looking around at what was going on. Adara was chatting up Izzy, which brought a smirk to his lips, while Neda was taking her time, practicing in a slow and methodical manner.

He stepped up into the center of the group and picked up his firearm once more. “I heard something about beer?” He asks around, as if seeking the source of the words. Before looking at the target sheet. “Not bad…I thought you said you’d had no training.”

[Izzy Montoya] She makes a non-commital noise in the back of her throat, and takes aim once more. Poor paper target man. He never sees his shredded demise coming…

[Adara Mires] She chuckled at Carter’s words “No, Isaid I knew the basics but wanted to get better at it” She smiled “I thought you were listening when I was talking. NowI”m offended”She say with a mock offended expression

“And I asked Detective montoya if hse wanted to go for a drink after shooting or at another time. Would you land neda liek ot come as well if it’s tonight? And if she say yes to my offer and odesn’t mind having more company”

She grinned at Carter “And don’t assume anything. It’s probably not what you think”

[Carter Roth] “Ha your offense is noted, and not my problem.” He says with a smirk as he gestures to her lane. “Less chatter more splatter, I want to see another poor piece of paper sent home in pieces.” Carter looks over at Izzy as she makes that noise, a noise he understood pretty well, Izzy communicated like a guy, and well he understood that language fairly well. “Eh, well see what happens.” He says with a shrug to the offer of beer.

“We all got things to do afterall.”

[Neda Stevic] It has taken forever for Neda to empty her magazine, lost in her own world and pushing herself to perfection with no allowances for this being her first time shooting. When the paper is brought in, only there are a couple of solid target shots to show for her effort.

[Adara Mires] She grinned “You better believe I”m offended.” She smiled playfully and the shrugged when he said they all had things to do. She went back to her lane and placed another target, sending it away, pressing the button. She changed the magazine in her gun and once her earphones wer on her ears again, she took her stance, gripped hte gun two handed again and once more repeatedly squeezed the trigger at a regular interval, hitting the target with most of her shots.

[Neda Stevic] Magazine empty, she drifts over to Carter quietly to watch him shoot.

[Carter Roth] Carter of course took the time to examine Neda’s spread and nods to the woman. “Not to shabby Neda, You just need to get used to the weight, and you’ll do fine.” He said with a pat on the shoulder before stepping back to his lane and donning his own headphones.

A moment later his weapon is up in a flash and the man starts firing, there is no slow methodical shooting, no three round burst like Izzy, hell it isnt even regular intervals like Adara, bullets fly from the weapon as fast as the mechanism will allow Carter to fire, and as he does, bullets don’t miss the target.

[Izzy Montoya] She glances at Carter as he fires, and she snorts, slightly. Then, her target in place, she makes sure she has a full clip, and then, seconds after he’s done, she does the same thing – firing rapidly, without even seeming to aim.

And when she’s done, 18 rounds of fast and furious, her target falls – torn neatly in half.

She’s a bit competitive, see.

[Adara Mires] She brought back her target and compared it with the first one. It was similar. She made a fairly satisfied face. Shetook the earphones off again and went to seek Carter “All right Sir, teacher, Sir..what od you think of this one? Want me to shoot another evil paper man?”

She smiled widely

[Neda Stevic] She reaches to catch Carter’s arm, saying something to him quietly.

[Carter Roth] Carter listens to Neda for a short moment before shaking his head. “Got something to deal with tonight.” He said before hes caught by Adara.

“I bought you a box full of bullets Adara, unless you feel like giving the range some free ammunition, I’d say yes.” He says with a chuckle as he retracts his paper man, and clips a new one into place. “Adjust your aim slightly to the right, I think the Iron sights are a bit messed up on that gun.”

Carter of course, pays attention just as she had payed attention to his in that glancing sort of way. He couldn’t help himself but smirk, and he picks his spare clip and slams it home before looking over at Izzy with a meaningful look that says. ‘really? you want to play THAT game?’

His target already in place, Carter picks up his gun at last, and aims briefly before losing off the entirety of the clip, where Izzy had cut the paper in half, Carter chose to hole out the torso of his target leaving only arms and a head perched on nothing.

[Neda Stevic] Her jaw sets for a moment before she nods, then collects her things. “Thank you Carter. It was quite educational. Adara, Detective Montoya. It was good to see you both again.”

[Izzy Montoya] Oh yes. THIS game. It’s one of her favorites. She fixes a new target, sends it out, and then reloads.

Then?

A smiley face in the torso, followed by seven perfectly matched shots through the forehead, one after the other.

[Adara Mires] She heard Neda saying her farewell “Take care Neda. See you around”

She nodded to Carter “All right” She went back to her lane, and placed another target. She replaced the empty magazine, put on the phones and started shooting again, adjusting her aim as Carter advised. She replaced the target and magazines until she had no more ammo.

She picked her targets and stepped out of her lane and watched wahat was left of the shooting contest.

[Neda Stevic] She nods vaguely, leaving the gun and remainder of the ammo on the shelf of her stall before heading out.

[Izzy Montoya] She pauses only to nod a goodnight to Neda.

[Carter Roth] Carter was between loads when Neda does so and he raises a brow as she goes to head out. “I’ll catch you soon Neda, take care.” He said before shrugging and looking over to Adara as she keeps firing. He gives her a thumbs up as her aim adjusts, and true to his word, it improves her aim, getting that much closer to center mass.

But then the Detective gets funny with the game, makes a smiley face and repeatedly skull caps the target. Carter smirks in her direction as the paper is drawn back, replaced, and sent back out, as it slides to and fro Carter spends the time reloading each clip.

When done he unloads the first, cutting the paper down the centre, as the clip hits empty it slides from the gun and the other clip is slid home effortlessly and he then cuts the image horizontally. Sadly…at this point hes out of ammo.

[Adara Mires] She wasleaning against the wall, watching them. When Carter ran out of ammo she say “Neda left you some if you want to continue” She smiled softly “And thanks ofr the tip earlier, it worked well”

[Izzy Montoya] She leaves her target there, and on reload, it looks at first as if she’s missing the target – but it turns out she’s clipping the edges, nice and steady, until it looks like the edge of a postage stamp…

Then, she bends her knee, reaches down and retrieves a second weapon from the holster around her ankle, and with a single shot, hits direct center of the page.

She’s not just good – she’s motherfucking good.

She reloads and holsters the backup weapon, before she pulls her target back, and goes about reloading her clip. “Not bad.” Is her only comment. She, of course, was better.

[Carter Roth] She THOUGHT she was better, Carter laughed when she gave him her offhanded compliment/dig and he looked over at Adara. “Fraid thats the wrong caliber.” He does however look at Neda’s table and frowns. “Huh, I thought she’d take the gun, oh well.” He shrugs as he steps over to the table and unchambers the round, before removing the clip.

“I guess I’ll hold onto it for her.” He says pocketing the safetied weapon as he looked at Adara. “You done? Or you want some more ammo?”

[Adara Mires] She shook herhead “I’m done for tonight, thank you for your time Carter and ofr the ammo. I’ll buy my own liek you told me to next itme”She say with a smile, handing him the berretta back, grip first “When should we meet again for another training session?”

She say looking at him, smiling softly. She liked learning it seem, for she looked eager to have another training session.

[Izzy Montoya] No, she KNEW she was better. That’s simply par for the course, after all. She finishes loading her clip, slides it home, then tucks the pistol back into it’s holster at the small of her back. A check of the time has her gathering her coat and slipping it on.

[Carter Roth] “Well set up another for next week, if we have some others then, you can help me teach them the basics before you get your next lesson.” He said with a small nod to the woman as he collects her weapon as well.

“I’ll catch you around Adara?” He asks, as it was obvious the woman was planning on heading out.

[Adara Mires] She nodded “I’ll ask around, see if some are interested.” She smiled ot him “So form what I heard you’re busy tonight ? No beers for you?”She say tiltig her head.

Her eyes move to Izzy as it seem the woman was getting ready to leave and well..not gonig for a beer either

[Izzy Montoya] She pauses as she moves past Carter and Adara, and slips her card into his back pocket.

“Maybe another time.” She ansers Adara’s questioning look, and makes her way to the door, and out into the night.

(Sorry – fading out here. Lessa be tired and 5am comes way too early. NIght!)

[Carter Roth] “Nah, gotta help the Doc out.” He says with a nod to Adara. “Science and all that.” He chuckles as he looks over at Izzy as she heads out.

“See you round.”
