[Biter of Ankles] Fizzling pops erupt, loud enough that the Uktena can hear it. It is several yards down the sidewalk as small orange furry objects on short little legs and curling tails begin to literally appear out of thin air. They race along quickly, ankle-high to a human, around the corner of a storefront that long since been closed down, the windows and doors boarded up tightly, graffiti defaces the building in a mural of gang signs and territory markings, scratched into the brick and wood facing.
Another ripple of emotional distress over the totem link, ~Karl… Victor… where the hell are ya!!~
There is a moment’s lapse, a silence that cuts across it for several heartbeat’s…
Bai can hear the vicious snapping of tiny jaws and a girlish squeal of terror as someone clangs into a piece of metal, the loud rung of a dumpster’s lid slammed shut. \
[Bai Chou] Bai swore, soon moving to rush towards that direction…hearing his soles hit the ground as he paced towards the direction…thinking it had come from the alley near the closed down store…glancing around to get oriented again…trying to see what was making the racket.
[Victor Oseragighte] ~Coming! Almost there! In the sky! Where?~
Simple thoughts, his main focus on getting there, on arriving in time, wanting to insure he is there when his Alpha needs him. Down he dives, to reach the street almost too hard, jarring, using a recently-created rain puddle to pull himself through into the real world.

The veil between world to thick for Karl to rpess through in the rush that he is in. He takes of into the air, sweeping along the streets to find antoher spot to cross over.

[Victor Oseragighte] Victor bursts onto the material plane already in the near-man form, his black jeans and thin red and blue Montreal Alouettes sweater straining upon him. Crinos can be problematic when you do not know what awaits you, or who, and his wolf self just won’t pass for a dog.
[Biter of Ankles] A surge of heat crackles in the air like electricity, it rises and blisters in a swell of combined animal ferocity that any Garou can identify as Rage.
Bai Chou swears, he can feel the buzzing of the spirit that had been nibbling on his ear for most of the night squeal in excitement. It may distract him for a second, unsure of where it comes from, but he can feel it surrounding him for just a second as the pressure of small hands grip his shoulders to send an icy chill rolling down his spine before a cold numbness passes through him.
The Uktena will notice six, in all, orange fuzz balls snapping at the edges of a dumpster that has the lid closed, like yapping little Pomeranians with dirty, filthy coats. The sensations of rage stems from the tiny yappers as they circle the dumpster. He can see the lid rose slightly, held up by a small hand as a familiar Gnawer pokes her head out to peer over the edge to peer out.
Karl and Victor arrive just in time to feel the distress of the Gnawer. The Wendigo is the first to cross over, slipping through the Gauntlet despite its thickness that hinders his pack mate. It leaves the Fenrir to search for another route, which takes him along the ethereal perimeter of the storefront and the streets along the alley. He can see spirits fleeing at his arrival, crawling immediately away into the shadows to hide.
A white shimmer of light will catch his attention, as it seems to hover in the exact area of the Uktena, which passed through him and shoots out into a straight line, for where he had seen Victor cross over. The gauntlet trembles as the white shimmering form starts to materialize – to cross over – tearing a hole into reality itself.
[Karl Holds the Line] Karl spots the tear in the umbral veil, and it is the lightning quick reflexes granted by his totem that allows him to twist in mid air, shooting through the hole together with the spirit, landing on the other side in a roll as his flight vanishes, but the momentum does not. He is in human skin, rolling into a ball and coming up running towards the area where his alpha is trapped in a dumpster, still cursing in Swedish as he goes.
[Bai Chou] Bai meanwhile moves forward…close as he was to the scene. He moves forward…feeling his body start to shift towards Glabro…taking time to go through the proper forms rather than fueling his Rage. He moves to punt one of the six creatures…like a soccer ball.
[Victor Oseragighte] Strange little things. He looks to the puffballs, then spots his Alpha behind. A glance to the side shows Karl, and a plan forms as he strides in.
~If we tip the dumpster fast, now, three together, we could crush or trap most of them.~

[Biter of Ankles] Bai Chou moves forward to punt one of the six little dogs just as the Fenrir appears on the other side. The dumpster lid slams shut again as one of the little dogs leaps high into the air, in a vertical line to snap at Mama’s face.
Just as they start to formulate a plan, the air around them starts to grow cold… enough to see your breath.

[Marni] She’d gotten the call – but was a bit farther away than the others, and thus it takes her longer to arrive. The others use the umbra to come fast and furious, she does not – she’s well adept at traveling faster than most through the underbelly of the city itself and she makes use of her knowledge of the streets and public transportation to get her there – and fast.
She comes barreling around the corner, skidding to a stop, and trying to catch her breath as she takes in the scene and tries to make sense of it all.
[Biter of Ankles] Bai draws his foot back to punt one of the small dogs, which immediately draws its attention to him. His foot connects soundly with the fuzz ball, but it feels like he is kicking a cement block as the little thing does nothing more than stand their and take the punt. It blinks, spinning around in a single motion and bears its teeth at the Uktena in a grating hiss. The lower half of its jaw splitting down the middle as its mouth opens wide into three parts. Saliva dribbles from its gaping maw as beady little eyes pin on the Uktena.
[Victor Oseragighte] “That’s it. I am talking to the Glass Walkers about reforming this city’s leash laws,” he growls, still smarting a little from wounds dealt within the last week by two different encounters with canine fomori.
He rolled his shoulders and continued forward as the air grew chill, little bothering the Canadian Wendigo. His form swelled once more, muscles bulging, leaping to the other side from Karl to tip the dumpster and use his Crinos weight to help it crash down on the nasty little things.

[Biter of Ankles] As Bai is punting one of the dogs, the remaining start to scatter as Karl, Victor, and now Marni try to heave the dumpster on its side. The two glabro formed males manage to get it swinging as Marni’s heels scrape along the pavement in a futile attempt to help. The dumpster wobbles as it goes clanging on its side and the lid slides open to spill out Mama Ankle-Biter as two of the little dogs squish under the heavy thrum of metal.
The four remaining dogs suddenly bristle up, their furs standing on edge. The cold feeling that was slowly gripping the alley spreads rapidly, clutching at the very breaths of the five Garou as that shimmering white form begins to materialize with a howling wail like a child screeching in horror.
It hovers above their heads as the spirit that had passed through Bai hovers just over them. The child-like shape caught up in a sheet of alabaster that whips formlessly in the air. Black tendrils of hair float and drape over the sleek bone-white features of a masked face – artfully painted in the details of a Kabuki doll.

[Victor Oseragighte] Newly changed, sensitive black-tipped ears flatten at the screech, the Wendigo’s heavy head swinging about to fix baleful orange eyes upon this figure. He does not wholly recognize the origins of the spirit, but he does not have to; his tribe has legends of similar things, none of them good. He cannot tell what sort, unfortunately. His gaze turns back to the pomeranians and he growls.

The Eurasian took a step back, reaching beneath his button up black shirt, he drew out his blade…he used it for many things….rituals most of all. But he also used it to defend himself as well….it was the Web Walker in him to rely off tools other than his claws.
He gritted his teeth, knowing this would not be fun by any means…china dolls were spirits of misery…the nightmare reflections of the countless FOB Asians who well…never got to see a good life in America. Worse, they were dragged into decadence…into hells and some never came out. Judging by its looks…it could have been a Japanese girl’s representations of the twisted emotions that clawed their way from her soul after years of torment. Either case, no matter the girl…this thing here was a whore of the Wyrm. He was more worried about that thing then the yapping beasts.

She hadn’t shifted at first – and nearly bounced off the dumpster as everyone tipped it over with no help from her – but she does so now. A rumbling growl as she shakes herself and falls forward onto all fours, large paws hitting the ground with a slap as she arrives in the position already in Hispo, her lips curling into a snarl of disgust…
Ready, she is. And truth be told, she’s been spoiling for a fight for WEEKS now…
[Karl Holds the Line] Karl snaps down to Hispo, growling.
~I will keep the doll busy. Destroy the others, then help me take that thing down.~
Snarled as he leaps for the creature that materialzed. Banes could be truly wicked, but materialized, they were often as soft, if not softer then fomor or spirals.
[Biter of Ankles] Mama gasps for breath, her eyes slitting as she peers around her, sprawled across the pavement as her homid form wavers in the midst of a shift. Her clothing was torn, deep lacerations run along her frame as she was stained in her own blood from a previous fight.
“The Uktena’s right… She ain’t as easy as she looks…” rage surging through the Gnawer as she feels the shift taking over her once again to a four-legged form.

[Biter of Ankles] Everything becomes frantic. It happens suddenly within a matter of minutes as the Moonrunners and the Theurge Elder engage the remaining yapping Pomeranians and the China Doll bane that has manifested. Karl throws down for the China Doll herself: fulfilling the role of the pack’s ahroun as they remain without one, the Fenrir is tenacious and relentless in his constant attacks upon the Kabuki faced-child that floats within reach of the vicious, gnashing snaps of his jaws. Teeth rends into the folds of the white, the tearing sound of cloth assaults his ears, and each piece he comes away with distraught the bane even more. She wails out, attempting at first to blight the Moonrunner’s Theurge will little success, only to meet failure a second time as she turns on her attacker with a simple delicious whisper of evil intent. “Kill the weakest link, kill the wounded, become the Alpha. Only the strongest shall lead…”
To no avail…. Karl is not moved by the ill deeds that try to filter into his mind and he continues on his attack.
Victor, Marni and Bai Chou are thorough in their personal battles with each of the remaining dogs. Teeth and claws, the stinging blades of a knife flash and cut into tiny furry bodies, which tend to catch in the teeth. The two dogs go down at first; the third dog becomes a midnight snack for the hungry Gnawer. Marni swallows the dog whole, snapping little bones and fur after one crunchy bite. She can feel her stomach gurgle, her cheeks puffing out as a roll of nausea and indigestion assaults the Gnawer and makes her want to pass gas.
The last of the little dogs continues the fight. It doesn’t realize that its attempts are futile as it tries to love itself on Victor’s leg, pretty much to his death, as the Wendigo’s hatred of canines overcomes him and he manages to rip the dog from his thigh, and punts it into the dumpster with a flailing yowl from the mutt. It splats and falls down in a thud.
Little orange bodies are strewn about the Garou as they stand panting heavily in the alley, their breaths exposed on the chilly air that surrounds them. The atmosphere devoid of any heat like it has been sucked out and it leaves them to shiver. A sheet of white flutters to the ground in front of the Fenrir, the Kabuki mask cracks as it drops to land within the folds.
Mama Ankle-Biter looks around, swinging her head back and forth as her legs tremble in her hispo form, ears laying back along her head as she whines softly.
[Bai Chou] Bai waited…eyes looking around. They had rended the material forms….the weaker spirits were gone. As for the China Doll…he didn’t know if it had fled or been sent into slumber. He knew that these were done though. Soon his fur and height fell away like a soft ray of sun glinting before it was just Bai again in homid. He moved to sheath his dagger…for the most part, unharmed.
[Karl Holds the Line] Karl pants heavily. His body had been ravaged by wounds that Mama had closed moments after. He turns his massive shaggy head to the others, looking them over. The unattural chill seeps into his bones, but he ignores it as he had the pain earlier, his mind steeled against the discomfort. He snarls at them, low in the high tongue.
~To close. Victor, heal Mama while I start the cleansing…~
His form shifts and he slips into homid, looking around again. He fully expects the others to help with the cleansing once Mama is healed, but first thing is first.
“Anyone else hurt?”
[Marni] She. swallowed. the dog. whole.
And her belly rumbles and she gives a shudder, and then? She rips the biggest, raunchiest fart, EVER. and a Hispo fart? Well then. And, as if that wasn’t enough, as she shifts down to homid once again, she belches a mighty, mighty belch seconds later. Good thing she didn’t do both at the same time, she might have exploded!
She shakes her head when asked if she’s hurt, her hands going protectively to her belly, immediately. She shoots Karl a grin and starts to gather the bodies together for the cleansing.
[Biter of Ankles] Ankle-Biter shakes from the lack of heat, the cold seeping into her fur as her body shivers. She starts to change, shifting through her forms until she can find the one that requires only two legs to stand. The deep lacerations drawing a hiss of pain from the small blond as she regains her feet.
She looks around with widening eyes at the mess that lay before them, quickly looking to Bai Chou with a lowering of her eyes in deference to the Theurge Elder. “Ain’t think nothing of it. Didn’t realize them masks on the wall would come alive. Just followed the quibbering… the voices in mah head asking for halp. Didn’t know it’d come alive.”
[Karl Holds the Line] [Cleanse!]

[Victor Oseragighte] He turns from the last of the mutts and snarls, but there is nothing left to fight. Still, he is wary, and when he sees his Alpha so badly off he goes to her, moving to assess her state at that whine, suddenly concerned; she had been without aid for too long before they’d arrived, surely.
Victor takes no chances as he takes out the small cla- WHAT IS THAT STENCH? He gags and casts a look to Marni before wrinkling his nose and soldering on, crushing the gourd between his massive paws. A breath of Gnosis leaves his maw, whispering across the talen and into their Alpha to salve her wounds and mend her form.
[Karl Holds the Line] [[Ack! collapse time! Nite & Thanks for the scene all!]
[Bai Chou] He glanced briefly at the bodies…nudging them as they were already starting to fall apart….they were materialized spirits….their corporal forms did not stay for too long. A piece or fragment, occassionally a claw or hide…but for the most part…they were things of spiritual residue.
He then looked to Mama.
“…I won’t hold it against you.”
He briefly reached to his pocket, sliding out a cigarette.
“…on the other hand…I want your pack to patrol Chinatown for a week in reparation though for the bungle. Sound fair?”
[Victor Oseragighte] He raised his head, looking from Mama to the Uktena and back, silent. This was the one he’d been told about. The price he exacted seemed fair. And he was looking forward to speaking to this man.
[Biter of Ankles] Blond eyebrows furrow upon Ankle-Biter’s face, gritting teeth as she dips her chin down in a slow nod of her head. She clears her throat, pulling her gaze away from the Chinaman that matched her in height. Her muscles felt stiff from the cold as it slowly seeps from the alley, small piles of dust left behind in the wake of the spirits.
The white sheet becomes a fine mist where the China Doll Bane had once stood, sitting atop the little mountain of dust was the cracked kabuki mask she had worn, bone-white and pristine. Perfect in every way except for the jagged splinter that runs down the center of the forehead and over the bridge of the nose to the corner of the red painted lips.
[Bai Chou] “…take it…its your pack’s glory.”
Bai said, glancing at the mask. Then he lit the cigarette, soon moving to start walking back for home. He still had a store to have open in the morning..
[Victor Oseragighte] The Uktena starts to leave and he steps forward. “‘rhya? Can I have a moment?” He was not about to miss his chance to introduce himself to the crescent.
[Bai Chou] Bai glanced over at Vic…he stares as he finished lighting the hand rolled cancer stick, the smell of cloves and cherries wafting from it. He flicked his hand, putting the flame out from the match he had used as he eyed Victor…blue eyes inspecting and then….dismissing.
“…find me at my shop…there’s markings…you can talk to me then. But I’m going home for the night…”
[Marni] Marni watches them, and then nods herself, before she turns and nudges her shoulder against Mama’s. Then her phone rings, and she answers it, and then hangs up with a flow of curses thats.. well, impressive.
“Now. He picks now. I gotta go challenge for Ray… or challenge Ezra later – and that lil fucker doesn’t deserve to get his hands on my fuckin’ kin.”
She nods, and then hightails it out of the alleyway, and back the way she came.
[Biter of Ankles] She bumps shoulders with Marni as the other Gnawer leaves, Ankle-Biter turns away to look around at the piles of ash. She moves over to where the bane had been, crouching down in front of the white ash and the mask. She reaches into her pocket for a rag, draping it carefully over it, and then wraps it around the mask to fold it up. The ash is scooped up, another scrap of cloth used to contain it as she looks up at Bai Chou with a raised eyebrow and says nothing more.
[Victor Oseragighte] He nods his head, not about to argue with his elder, but he will certainly seek him out soon. Turning, he canted his head at Marni’s flight and her cryptic words, and both can feel his question, wondering if she needs aid, if she should be going alone.
The Wendigo walks over to stand by his Alpha, resisting the urge to tromp upon the mask with one booted foot as he reverts to homid.
