Izzy | A protest. [Lonna/Theron/Rosa/Eddie]

[Rosanna Kardos] (123 NOT IT!)

[Lonna Larson] (*sigh* fiiiiiiiine)

[Lonna Larson]
Dice Rolled:[ 1 d10 ] 10

[Lonna Larson] “This is the worst protest ever,” she said with a sigh.

The blonde was, at that moment, handcuffed to a fence. How she got there, however, was interesting.

The fence she was handcuffed to was a particularly important fence, in front of a fairly important building… It was a nice, well-respected building that happened to produce all sorts of lovely cosmetics and wonderful products and so on and so forth, like Avon only cheaper, with a name that smacked of something that made Lonna uneasy. So, when asked if she would protest the fact that this particular company did animal testing, the blonde was more than happy to oblige.

A proponent of natural beauty, she wasn’t wearing any makeup. Or much else, really. Just a swimsuit and a sandwich board. It said something about how inhumane animal testing was, bu the ink had run, so there she was, tall, blonde, and gorgeous, wearing very, very little in the rain, protesting animal testing.

The blonde wasn’t causing a public disturbance yet, but she happened to get a lot of information out about why someone shouldn’t buy these products.

So here is where we start, in front of some make up company’s business headquarters with a near-naked Coggie protesting.

[Izzy Montoya] The blonde wasn’t causing a public disturbance yet, but that doesn’t mean the call hasn’t been made. It’s not the type of thing she normally responds too, and she’s certainly not doing so officially, as it’s not her jurisdiction. The unmarked police car that does pull around the corner, however, is as recognizable as the description of the blond chained to a fence wearing little more than a sandwich board – in the rain.

And so it is, one Detective Montoya parks the non-descript car that does little to hide the fact it’s a police issue vehicle across the street from a certain chained blond. The door opens, she steps out, and closes the door behind her. She doesn’t cross the street just yet – no, first she digs out a battered pack of cigarettes from her coat pocket, and takes the time to light up, her hand cupped around the flame to protect it from the rain. Only once she has taken a long drag, dark eyes surveying the scene, does she glance up and down the street, and heads across the asphalt toward the blond in question.

[Rosanna Kardos] It was raining.

A light haze that clouds the sky as citizens walked through the city, darting across traffic or under storefront awnings, huddled under umbrellas to escape the downpour. There was a bit of excitement standing outside on the sidewalk, chained to a fence, wearing very little but a sandwich board and a bikini.

It garners the attention of one woman, an eyebrow raised up as she exists the back of a black luxury sedan parked on the side of the street. She leans over to murmur something to the driver and steps out of the car. An umbrella lifted up over her head as it flicks open. Green eyes narrow as they catch on Izzy and move to follow her. She sighs, slamming the door shut and begins to cross the street, heading over towards Lonna and her protesting.

[Lonna Larson] She wasn’t causing a public disturbance yet; she was pretty good at these things. She had a pretty smile, a mischievous manner, but ultimately seemed quite informed. The blonde, however, was one of maybe a hand full of protesters left in front of the building. She wasn’t even sure if people were still in the building, but she was still stuck to the fence.

“Jodie?”
“Yeah?”
“You have keys for these things?”
“Uhh…”
“Jodie, seriously, we are going to rust to the fence,” she tells the freckled redhead about two people down on the lineup.
“It’s gotta be somewhere…”

The blonde sighs, and turns to find herself looking at-

Izzy Montoya, across the street and heading her way, and Rosanna Kardos- also heading her way.

“Next time we plan something,” she announces to no one in particular, “we are checking the weather channel first.”

[Theron Locke] It was indeed raining and Theron is quite appreciative of the protection his car provides. Currently though his car is at a stand still it seems there is a disturbance up ahead and the cars in front of his have slowed to a crawl. Moments tick by and eventually his car creeps forward, in the distance the scene becoming discernable by his vision. A beautiful young lady, bound to a fence outside a rather prominent building.

It is only when his car approaches closer that the womans face is revealed and it causes Theron to double check as his foot hits the breaks. Only by the barest of margins being able to refrain from causing an accident. Was that Lonna…no it couldn’t be… it definitely was…this would be something she would do.

Theron sighs as he manages to maneuver his car into a parking spot. The door opening as his lithe frame slides out of the drivers seat. A slight frown on his forehead as he proceeds in the direction of the Child of Gaia kin.

[Izzy Montoya] She exhales to the side, flicking the end of her cigarette to send the ashes to the wet ceent below, as she hops up the curb. She seems unbothered by the rain, as she studies the line of protesters, but Lonna in particular. A glance down the way, and she sees Rosanna as well – seconds before her gaze is drawn toward Theron almost causing an accident. She narrows her gaze, slightly, lips pressing together in a thin line… She starts to say something, but then just shakes her head.

Then, almost conversationally, to Lonna. “So. I have it on good authority you’ve about 30 minutes to vacate the premises.”

[Rosanna Kardos] The sound of squealing brakes screeches over asphalt. Her head turns suddenly, chin jerked across her shoulder to stare back at the car that nearly causes an accident. When the Shadow Lord slips out of the car and begins to head in the same direction as herself, she grunts under her breath, hastening her steps.

Boots slap loudly against wet pavement, holding the umbrella over her head to keep from getting rained on. “So… I see this is where you have been hiding…” spoken to Lonna.

A glance to Izzy, just catching the tail end of what the detective was saying, “She’ll be out of here in less than that, Detective.”

[Lonna Larson] “We’re not on private property,” she states, “we’re outside of private property, and we’re not blocking entry to the establishment. Why do we need to vacate the establishment?”

The blonde, it seemed, was not going to be cooperative in this endeavor. There were many things that could be said are in a Child of Gaia’s blood. A penchant for free love and keeping things even and balanced and… apparently…. civil disobedience. She tried to fold her arms, but the fact that she was stuck to the fence andthe sandwich board got in the way, so she just sighed and looked at Rosanna with a half grin, to Theron across the street, and then back at Izzy a little more somber.

[Izzy Montoya] She snorts. “The fence itself is private property and you are chained to it. You’re clearly causing accidents – or almost accidents – because idiots can’t keep their eyes on the road. Whatever you want to accomplish here, is hampered by that and… other things.”

She shrugs, and takes a drag, exhales to the side. “Personally, I don’t give a shit either way. I recognized the description and came to give you the heads up. You think you can better serve what the fuck ever your agenda is like this and locked up? More power too ya, and I’ll keep that in mind next time I decide to do a good deed.”

To Rosanna a shrug, and she simply turns around and heads back to her car.

[Theron Locke] Theron’s eyes survey the crowd, first sighting the disapproving stare of Izzy Montoya. Theron gives a small apologetic shrug in response to the near accident but nothing further as he continues towards where she and Lonna are now standing a talking.

His eyes are drawn for a moment to the Shadow Lords woman that he knows all too well, the grunt unhead by him.

A shake of his head, as his vision returns to Lonna…. a mix of mirth and resigned frustration at the kins behavious. She certainly had a way about her.. He checks the traffic and makes his way across the street. The conversation between Izzy and Lonna finished, as he watches the detective start to turn.

“Causing quite the sensation there, Miss Larson.” he comments, his eyes twinkling with amusement.

[Rosanna Kardos] Her breath rolls out in a small cloud in front of her face, bowed down as she stares at the dark pavement for a second and closed her eyes in exasperation. She listens to them speak and sighs.

“Detective Montoya, does the key you have for your handcuffs universally work on all sets of handcuffs?” She calls after the Fenrir. Rosanna walks over to Lonna, shaking her head again at the pretty blond.

“You are nothing but trouble.” She says with a small grin.

[Lonna Larson] She stops, and looks at the redhead who suddenly looks quite sheepish.

“I told you we should have been wearing clothes.”
“I know, sorry,” she winced.
“Eh, it’s okay, we live and we learn. And we laminate signs next time. Not bad for your first time though!”
“Gah, how many friends do you have Lonna? You brought the national guard.”
“I did not bring the national guard, keys, please?”
“Funny thing about that…”

Lonna gave her a look, and Jodie looks a bit embarrassed again. Lonna looks back at the Detective and winces. It’s Detective Montoya. Not a random-citizen-being-nice Montoya. Detective Montoya.

“Yeah,” she announces to the two Shadow Lords recently arrived, “that would be me. Continual trouble.”

[Izzy Montoya] “Most likely.” this, to Rosanna. “But I do believe your friend has made it clear that this is not my fuckin’ problem.”

A beat, as she turns to look at the blond in question, a brow arching slightly. Waiting. “Or have we changed our mind?”

[Rosanna Kardos] “Tch.” She clucks her tongue against the roof of her mouth, the umbrella resting in the crook of her shoulder now. She looks between Izzy and Lonna, Theron only getting a passing glance as she gauges the Garou’s intentions to interfere.

“Detective Montoya, I humbly request your assistance in releasing the protesters with the use of your key. I’d hate to resort to other methods to get them out of this situation. It could get messy and loud.”

[Emil Vaako] A late model Volvo purrs to a stop at the curb a short way down the street. Vulpine features are fixed in a grim, tooth flashing scowl as the rangy detective flicks one cunning hand against the door to slam it closed.

“Fucking swing shift… that asshole.. of course he’d give me Christmas for that.”

The tall cop continues to mutter to himself, working a toothpick between his teeth as he crosses the street and moves up the sidewalk toward the fence.

He hasn’t seen the barely- clad girls yet. Maybe he’d be in a better mood.

[Theron Locke] Theron’s reactions fight between amusement and frustration as he watches Lonna, listens to her conversation with her co-conspirator’s and the sticky situation they’ve found themselves in. He just shakes head again as he comments to Lonna, corner of his lips curling into a smile ” Well life would be a little boring without trouble.”. His eyes flick over to Rosanna and then back “I seem to get myself into it , quite often.”

“So what are we protesting against Lonna?”

It seems for the moment Theron isn’t interferring, just conversing with the naked female handcuffed to the fence. He typically wasn’t one for subtly and he and Izzy had gotten off on the wrong foot, so the Garou just watched and waited and allow the two of them to talk.

“Do you think your campaign has been successful?” an eyebrow raises as he asks Lonna another question.

[Lonna Larson] She eyes Izzy for a moment, and the blonde purses her lips and looks right back at her. She raises a brow, a rather lovely and statuesque blonde with a rather lovely and understated brow, but the facts remain. Lonna, blonde and fucking gorgeous, looks at Izzy- who is rather pretty and impeccably well-bred. So, comparatively, Izzy was a much more viable option.

“To start?” she says as she turns to look at Theron, “to start? Animal testing, questionable material-”
“Uh, Lonna?” the little redhead says to the soon-to-be-ranting blonde.
“Being put into their commercial products, over-emission of CFCs and greenhouse gases into the atmosphere”
“Uh, Lonna? There’s-“
“Toxic dumping-”
“Larson. Quit ranting. Swallow your pride and Get. Us. Off. This. Fence.”

She looks at the little redhead, who gives the blonde a rather stern look.

“Be nice. Say you’re sorry. It’s cold.”

[Izzy Montoya] She waits. She flicks a glance toward Rosanna as she humbly requests her assistance, and a hand slips into the pocket of her slacks, though her gaze, dark and heavy and sharp somehow all at once, finds Lonna once again.

Theron decides it’s the time for idol conversation, and Izzy finds her patience being tried, so instead surveys the area with a quick sweep of the area – which brings Eddie into view, and a smirk to her lips. Maybe she should stall a bit, so that he gets a good look at the women in bikinis. He looks like he could use it.

She lifts her cigarette to her lips. Inhales deep. Exhales to the side. And when she decides that answering Theron and ranting is the more viable option, she smirks, and turns to walk toward Eddie.

“I see. I’ll just go report to Detective Vaako first, then.” And lifting her voice. “Hey VAAKO. Here comes some paperwork coming your way you’re gonna LOVE… hope you brought your camera…”

[Theron Locke] Theron blinks several times as Lonna starts her spiel about what the company behind them was doing. It was perhaps the first time, he’d heard the kin get so fired up about an issue she believed in. His eyes seemed to drink in her naked frame as he just listened to her words.

The rain wets his head and when Lonna compains about the cold. The Theurge is removing the jacket he is wearing and begins to proceed to drape it around Lonna’s bare shoulders. Theron says simply “Does that help?”

[Emil Vaako] “Detective Montoya! Answer me this…”

The snap of bootheels off concrete sounds closer and closer as the rangy detective comes around the corner.

“Who in livin’ FUCK cuffs themselves to a chain link fence in the rain? Hmm? I-”

He shuts up as soon as he sees the girls.. Eddie maybe used to be good looking. In fact, probably was. In fact, that very same speechless look that now blasts across his face is probably the reason why someone had put a ring on his finger long enough for there to be a groove in it.

Of course, the groove being naked of the ring in question is probably due to the rest.

Pale green eyes flicker across Lonna and her friend, barely touching on the other residents of the alley.

Still mute, Ed looks from Izzy to the girls again, swallows, and searches through his pockets for a smoke as best he can without actually moving his eyes very far from the delectable females.

“Damn.”

[Rosanna Kardos] Rosanna frowns. Her patience begins to wear thing as Izzy starts to leave instead of offering up the key to release the protesters. She growls under her breath, stepping up behind Theron. A gloved hand shoots out to slap against his arm. “Will you do something useful besides standing their with your dick in your hand and ogling her.”

Her eyes skate away, down the street to watch the Get kin as she moves off to join Vaako. Green eyes begin to narrow slightly. “Detective… the key, please.”

[Izzy Montoya] She smirks as she watches Eddie’s reaction, chuckling under her breath as she lets him take it all in – take all of Lonna and her cohort in, and she’s not so stupid as to not realize there’s a whole lot of Lonna to see even under the sandwich board, and Theron’s attempt at covering her up.

“Shockingly enough? A group of ours – sorta. The blond and the other two standing there. The other on one the fense, she’s one of the blond’s friends. Now, one of them asked for my key, but Lonna – she’s a bit stubborn and pretty much thinks it’s not my problem. And when I saw it was you? Well… I thought I’d be SURE you got an eye full before I went about releasing them.”

She winks at him, and chuckles. “Merry Christmas.”

As for Rosanna, she lifts a hand so that she knows she heard her, but she still is waiting on Lonna.

[Lonna Larson] “You know what? Just help them out? I am actually perfectly fine with getting arrested over this. There’s no shame in being arrested over peaceful protest,” she said with a shrug and a surprisingly chipper smile.
“You are crazy,” said the redhead, “I don’t remember anything about getting arrested.”
“Jodie, I’ll see you at work on Monday, it’s fine, I really don’t think we’re going to get arrested.”

She adjusted the coat over her shoulders and gave Theron a smile and a bit of a nod, “Thanks.”

She looked at Eddie, and the blonde winced and looked at the sky for a minute. It continued raining. For some strange reason, she seemed to be the only protester that didn’t seem too bothered with this. She shot Eddie a smile, “hi, could you make sure they don’t get arrested, please? First protest, we failed to check the weather channel.”

[Theron Locke] He’s offering Lonna a smile in return, turning as a gloved hand slaps against him, his eyes meeting Rosanna’s as they harden at the corners “I was actually getting Lonna a jacket. But what did you have in mind, I figured you had everything under control.”

“Unles of course you just want me to snap the handcuff off the fence?” a raised eyebrow at that question.

[Rosanna Kardos] Rosanna considers the small redhead for a moment, she quirks an eyebrow as she listens to the conversation between her and the blond. Her eyes swing back to pair of detectives that seem to take amusement in this. She wrinkles up her nose, and speaks to Theron.

“There isn’t anything you can do… Some hocus pocus bullshit.” She hisses out in a low voice, her body shifting in its stance as she steps closer to Theron and Lonna. Her eyes turned on the blond now.

“Lonna, going to jail isn’t something I’d prefer to see you do, not like that.” Her shoulders heave back under the weight of her rain coat, trying to assess the situation as she waits on the Detectives.

[Emil Vaako] Eddie steps closer. Along the way he lights his smoke, Shares a fist bump at Izzy’s joke, and winks at Lonna with a grin just on the controlled side of crazy. That smile too was likely once a pretty striking thing- grown over now with the weight of the street and a hard, cynical edge- vines grown over a path until the wyld has reclaimed it entirely.

“Not to worry kiddo. We don’t arrest people for saving the world, dig?” He steps over to the shivering redhead, letting the two vaguely threatening Lords continue their own discussion. Something dangerous seems to thread through it.. seems best left alone.

Keys rattle as the redhead’s cuffs drop off. He dangles them from one thumb for the woman to snatch them back, flashing white teeth clamped around the end of a slender cigar.

“There ya go Angel.”

[Lonna Larson] “Mister you are so nice, thank you,” she was more than content to try and wander off at that point. Once all was said and done the redhead gave the grouping of people a look, once… twice over… and the redhead was more than happy to get away from there as soon as possible, “I am so getting your precinct cupcakes.”

[Lonna Larson] And with that, the redhead headed to her car to go home, leaving the blonde and company to talk.

[Theron Locke] Theron’s eyes change as he listens to Rosanna describe what he does. He holds back a laugh as he turns thoughtful.

“I take it Lonna’s refusing to back down. Let’s try something…”

And that thought drifts off as the male police officer dangles a set of keys and unlocks the redhead and Lonna. Eyes watching the redhead disappear to her car before turning back to Lonna and Rosanna “Well seems like one problem is sorted at least.

[Izzy Montoya] She shares a fist bump with Vaako, and then goes about helping unlock the protesters. She leaves Lonna for last, and in fact, it looks like she’s not gonna unlock her at all.

She steps close, and meets the girls gaze evenly. “Next time I do you a favor? ‘Thank you’ is the appropriate answer. Got it?”

And only then does she unlock Lonna, and offer the cuffs to Rosanna. “She’s all yours. Talk some fuckin’ sense into her, will you?”

[Rosanna Kardos] Rosanna stretched her hand out to take the cuffs from Izzy, chin dropping as her head bows in a quick nod of appreciation. “Thank you, Detective Montoya. I shall…” A glance swings over Lonna, eyebrows furrowing as they touch together, “Talk sense into her.”

“Yes, one problem taken care of, and now another.” She replies to Theron. She holds up the cuffs, glancing at them as wrists turns, “Hmm, just like the ones I have at home.”

[Emil Vaako] “Looks like good sense from here…”

An aside. Meant to go nowhere in particular in the conversation.. to hold no particular place. Pale green eyes slip across Lonna’s form for a second.

“Could show ya how to get those off without a key- you know. For next time… but I’m gonna have to take down your phone number first. We like to log that kinda thing.”

He flicks the cigar and turns his face to spit out a bit of tobbacco.

[Lonna Larson] Given her most recent endeavors, it’s a wonder she can stare Izzy in the eyes, not flinch, not say a word. She just looked at her, with her mouth shut and her pretty, pretty turquoise eyes.

“I appreciate it,” she tells her. She then looks at Eddie with a half grin. Ever the playful one, ever the vaguely flirtatious one.

“That actually sounds like something beneficial, Mister… Vaako, right?”

[Izzy Montoya] She snorts – and at first it’s not clear to what it’s in reference to. Right up until she reaches out and slugs Eddie in the shoulder. “Nice, Vaako. Nice.”

And then, a wicked little grin he’s seen before, as Lonna responds. She shakes her head, slightly, and steps back to finish off her cigarette, and flick the butt into the water flowing in the gutter to sputter and die. Her Keys are slipped back into her pocket, and her hand remains there as she watches – Eddie aims for Lonna’s number, and the two Lords… well. They ALWAYS bear watching.

Closely.

[Lonna Larson] She looked at Rosanna, having caught half of what she said and her cheeks turn a lovely shade of pink.

[Theron Locke] Theron cants his head as he turns to watch Rosanna with dark eyes, his face going calm as he tries to hide his reaction “I guess you’ll have a spare set then. Unless you know someone who would appreciate them as a gift.”

His eyes slipping to those that are watching him, but he remains silent in that regard. Eyes drifting back to Rosanna and then Lonna as he watches her skin take on a lovely pink hue.

Asking both Rosanna and Lonna “So what now?… I think we should obtain some more clothes for Miss Larson. Unless she has some around here?”

[Emil Vaako] The tall cop rocks to the side, shooting Izzy a grin as she plugs him one in the shoulder.

“Really? I was worried the delivery was clunky.. gettin’ kinda old.”

He is, however, a touch startled that Lonna responds the way she does. For a second, he just blinks.. then its a wolf-in-the-henhouse smile.

“Christ- Eddie. Call me Eddie.” He waves one long fingered hand lazily, the ember at the end of his cigar glowing an arc of red as he replies.

Holy shit she didn’t throw anything.

“Yeah. Eddie Vaako. I mean-” He feigns highbrow attitude and swings the cigar at the fence. “Never know when the weather doesn’t co-operate with your efforts for a better world…” He tosses the end of the cigar back in his mouth and whips a notebook out of one inside pocket. The pen gets spun around, and clicked open. He looks back to Lonna with a playful, challenging lift of one eyebrow, poised to write.

Somewhere in there he finds time to admire the bikini again.

[Izzy Montoya] She snorts. “You’re not old. Because I’m not fuckin’ old.”

And then he’s stumbling and she just snorts again. “Or they could, you know, bring their own fuckin’ key…” But then again, that would have taken forethought – and clearly, the key is near the paper with today’s forecast in it…

But she doesn’t get in the was of his getting his groove on. Nope, in fact, she’s almost enjoying watching it, watching him.

[Rosanna Kardos] Rosanna pockets the handcuffs, turns to look at Theron with a curious tilt of an eyebrow and snorts softly. She begins to shrug out of her light-weight raincoat, the umbrella in her hand as she maneuvers her arms out of it and swings it around. She steps between Eddie and Lonna, obscuring the old detective’s view and drapes the long coat around the blond kin’s near-naked body.

“Hey, Eddie, be nice if you’d stop staring at my girlfriend’s tits.” She glances over her shoulder at him.

[Emil Vaako] “Sorry to disappoint you, Rosie.” Eddie leans to the side. At 6’4″, that leaves quite a bit of room to oggle.

“Wasn’t oggling. I was reading the board thing. Not my fault its got such a nice platform.”

Theron’s coat was pulled off of Lonna and handed back to the Theurge. She holds the umbrella over Lonna and shakes her head, “C’mon, I have spare something you can put on, spare clothes in the car.”

“Whole point of a bikini is oggling the goods. You take all the joy outta life. That a mortician thing?”

Obligingly enough, Eddie swings into step toward the curb.

[Emil Vaako] “…shit.” He tosses the cigar down with a snarl of disgust as the rain hits it just right.

[Izzy Montoya] She arches a brow at Lonna, who can’t feel her toes. “Shoulda thought of that before you locked yourself up in a bikini, huh?”

Then Eddie shrugs, and Izzy just chuckles. “Don’t worry, I got her number, Vaako. I’ll slip it to you later.” Truth or not, she doesn’t let on.

[Theron Locke] Theron catches the snort but remains impassive, perhaps their game is continuing or perhaps not. When Rosanna mentions that Lonna is her girlfriend though there is a flash of something on the Garou’s eyes. As he emite a slight huff of his breath

He watches as his own coat is removed and handed back to him. Turning to Lonna as he speaks “Sounds like your going with Rosanna” his face resolute “But when you have time, can you give me a call there is something important we need to discuss.”

She can hear the tone in Theron’s voice, waits for Lonna to start walking as Rosa stays with her, quirking an eyebrow. “Mhmm.”

[Izzy Montoya] […nope. *L*]

[Emil Vaako] “My tetta was a good lookin’ woman, Rosie. You’re on.”

Eddie stoops to light another cigar in the shelter of a very nice leather coat. Fingers curved like the legs of a spider around the flickering flame of a cheap, battered brass lighter.

[Edwin Morr] Funny thing… Nobody could quite say how, or when… Or even from where a certain forgettable figure approached the group. Nobody noticed…

However, unmistakably… As Lonna and Rosanna begin walking away, they pass the forgettable figure with a black baseball cap pulled low upon his brow.

His hands in the pockets of a brown denim work coat.

His lips turned up in a lopsided, positively indecent grin.

And all that only as the hazy, indistinct nature of the apparition that seemed to appear before their very eyes snapped into clarity…

The gift he’d used to approach so close discarded like an umbrella as the sun breaks out through thick stormclouds.

[Lonna Larson] “Okay,” she replies to Theron, “I’ll call.. it’s… things have just been really crazy recently.”

She gives him an apologetic smile, but there’s something else there. Something that’s not quite pushed away for the time being, but she does follow along with Rosa. She gives thoseleft behind a little wave, but what she says is said quite, quite low.

[Emil Vaako] Vulpine features shift to Izzy as the small group takes off up the street.

“Dennys?”

[Izzy Montoya] “Fuck ya. I’ll even buy.”

She winks at Eddie, and pushes her damp hair back out of her face. They haven’t really gotten a chance to chat since he’d seen her beat to shit, and demanded answers. A lot has happened since then, to her and around her. She’d wager the same for him.

Edwin appears out of nowhere, and she arches a brow, slightly. “That boy could sneak through a minefield and never be noticed.”

But back to Vaako. “Meet ya there?”

[Izzy Montoya] (ya=yeah.)

[Rosanna Kardos] Rosanna’s head tilts forward, an arm drawn around the blond’s shoulders that she matches in height, perhaps towers over by a few inches in heeled boots. Nostrils flare out sharply as she breathes in the rain, the street, the woman next to her.

“Yes.” She answers – not quite in as low of a voice as Lonna speaks. Exchanging glances with her.

Her head lifts up briefly to gaze back over her shoulder, directing Lonna to the black luxury sedan that was parked across the street. She looks to see if Theron was going to follow, and who it was under the black ball cap. Gaze narrowing slightly.

[Emil Vaako] Eddie nods once as Izzy takes the right to buy. The lanky detective’s got no problem with that. His attention swings around as the woman points out a man… Eddie would never have looked twice at.

One pass of pale eyes from the man to Izzy, and that unspoken question and answer session that is distinctly ‘Cop’ takes less than a second before he nods again, and steps off the curb, swaggering down the street like a man who owns anyplace he steps.

[Lonna Larson] She looked at the woman, who was taller in boots and decidedly more clothed than she was, and cocked her head to the side. Her voice was still low, and she didn’t seem too content to raise her voice beyond where it was. She started to get into the back of the sedan, leaving the sandwich board on one side and handcuffs went to rest on the back seat.

[Izzy Montoya] She meets his gaze, evenly, in that second, and passes along the important parts without a word. She knows him, he’s good, and she’s not worried about him. There might even be something fond for the sneaky Lord laced somewhere under the words.

Then she grins at Eddie, and turns to head toward her own vehicle, moving with less swagger, but no less purpose.

[Theron Locke] Lonna begins to leave with Rosanna, he falls into step behind them for a time to continue his conversation with Lonna.

Theron nods at Lonna as his eyes remain expressionless. There was still no mention from her about what was going on at her apartment. “Soon please….it’s sort of time sensitive.” As he watches her slide into the seat of Rosanna’s car.

Asking Rosanna a question as his vision switches to her “So this is how it is going to be ?” a tilt of his head as his eyes study her. “Or is this one of those battles I sacrifice to win the war?”

[Edwin Morr] Lonna and Rosanna walk away… Edwin, for his part, just watches.

Shaded eyes follow Theron. Follow Rosanna and Lonna.

His grin never changes, though Izzy does get the merest dip of the head in greetings as she mentions minefields.

[Rosanna Kardos] She says something in private to Lonna on the way to the car.

Rosanna opened the back door for Lonna, allowing the kin to get inside and situate herself while she exchanged a glance with the driver. She closes the umbrella, staring off after the two Detectives and the remains Shadow Lords.

Green eyes cut across to Theron as he follows them. Something in his words draws a crinkling of her eyes, brows furrowing sharply. The fine soft points of her facial features pulled together. Her breath mingles on the air in a white plume of smoke, rain dampening her hair and gathering in droplets on the fitted leather blazer she wears.

“Most likely one of those battles you’ll have to sacrifice to win whatever war rages…” She replies with indifference, shrugging her shoulders, a hand rests on the door of the car, thoughtful. Her head bows down, “Ingvar has won his challenge. You know what that means.”

[Rosanna Kardos] (remaining)

[Theron Locke] Rosanna says something privately to Lonna and it remains unheard by the Theurge, but his brow still crinkles into a frown as he tries to pick up words spoken but comes up empty.

He leaves his comment to Lonna hanging, an expressionless gaze given to Rosanna as he watches her expression. A small shrug given inr esponse.

“Perhaps you are right, although I was never one to give up without a fight.”, her final comments makes his stomach sink, and his jaw clenches “I see… and I guess I do. But my statement to you the other day still stands. So make of that what you will…. I guess I would say more but you never know what eyes and ears are out there.”

[Edwin Morr] At this point, a strange scuff of shoe is heard. Edwin blinks for a moment in feigned sheepishness, and then grins that troubling grin all the more.

Then, he returns to the task about which he’d set himself before… Being quiet.

[Rosanna Kardos] She looks down into the backseat at the blond getting herself settled in and says nothing at first, the umbrella set down on the floor of the seat. The driver stares at Theron through the windshield, glancing back every now and then at Rosanna.

She releases a sigh from lush lips, wiping the back of her wrist across her forehead to wipe away the rain. She nods her head once, “Is good. You have spirit, you’re learning, but how well.” Her eyes study the Theurge and then flick across the street in the presence or absence of Edwin. “I hope you have a well-planned strategy since you plan to continue this fox hunt, Theron.”

She indicates with jerk of her head to the side, “He is the ‘eyes and ears’ you need to worry about.” Her eyes settled on Edwin if he’s still there.

[Theron Locke] Theron’s eyes flick to the driver briefly and then settle back on Rosanna

He shrugs his shoulder “I’m a fast learner, we will have to wait and see if it’s fast enough.”. Eyes looking back at Rosanna , a turn of his head as he follows her gaze “I believe I am making headway in that regard.. So we will soon see, if I can catch the fox or am left grasping at nothing but air.”

A puzzled look at where Rosanna was gesturing. ” I guess I better find out who they belong to then. Anyway I guess I shouldn’t hold you up further….we should talk again sometime.”

“Lonna, again call me when you are able.” and with that he steps away from the sedan.

[

[Lonna Larson] “Okay, I will,” she replies. The sound of her voice is a little… confused. Sincere, yes, but confused.
When she is able… hmmn.

[Rosanna Kardos] “Good luck with that.”

Rosanna ducks her head down, climbing back into the car and shuts the door. She raps on the roof to motion to the driver that she was ready to leave. The car begins to pull off from the curb, Rosanna glancing at the kin with her as it heads down the street.

[Edwin Morr] Funny thing is… As the car pulls away, the quiet guy with the forgettable features seems to have disappeared.

Gone, true to his namesake, without a trace.

[Theron Locke] Theron watches as the car disappears off into the distance, heading towards the spot that Rosanna was gazing at.

The theurges eyes go hard as he inspects the area, nostrils flaring as he tries to pick up a hint of a scent. But comes up empty.

[Lonna Larson] (thanks for the scene, I had fun loves!)

[Edwin Morr] ((Thanks for the scene folks. Closing this window.))
